iMagine Design LLC

The fall detection system runs on built-in instability metrics that assess the fall precursors and assist users in correcting posture and regaining balance. Using a stream of data from multiple cameras, our algorithm calculates, in real-time, several posture metrics for identifying potential falls. It then provides individualized posture correction feedback using both audio and a wearable haptic device or can trigger wearable robotics for fall protection.

The Problem

Adults aged 65+ account for 30% of falls in the US annually. Each year in the US, there are 36M fall-related incidents resulting in 32,000 deaths and approx. $1.36B in medical costs. Falls and resulting health issues are major contributors to our aging population’s loss of quality of life.

The Solution

The iMagine Design solution uses a data-driven surveillance system leveraging cutting-edge machine learning technology to identify and quantify body posture in real time. It provides personalized AI-driven feedback utilizing audio, haptic, and robotic wearables to detect and prevent falls.

The Opportunity

The primary target market for this technology is the Assisted Care Living Facilities, which are an $872.9B industry with an 8.2% CAGR. With the Baby Boomer cohort now well into their retirement years, this number is expected to swell to $1,903B by 2032.

Status

The company is in its final product design and user interface phase with a pilot program expected to launch in Q4/24.
